All of the hotels in Lake Placid have one specific amenity that sets them above the rest - they're all located in one of the most picturesque villages in the Adirondacks. But even without that unfair advantage, you're certain to find one that has everything you're looking for, whether you need a simple overnight accommodation, you and your significant other decided on an impulsive weekend get-away, or you've planned a five-day vacation for your whole family.  Whatever the occasion, one of these hotels in Lake Placid will be just perfect.

I've made sure to include some privately-owned places, along with the typical hotel chains. Sometimes when I travel, I like to stay in some place that's unique, where all the rooms are different and not so "cookie-cutter". At other times, though, I like to stay where I can pretty much know what to expect, so for those times I want a national hotel chain. Maybe you're the same way?
I know how difficult it can be sometimes to find the right accommodations, especially if it's your first visit to a place.
